K-pop girl group KATSEYE look back on debut journey in docuseries
The creation of HYBE and Geffen Records’ global girl group KATSEYE took center stage in the upcoming documentary series “Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE,” which shows glimpses of how the six-piece act was formed.
The eight-episode series, which will be released on August 21, takes a trip down memory lane, showing behind-the-scenes scenes of the reality show “Dream Academy” which included KATSEYE’s eventual members Megan Meiyok Skiendiel, Jeong Yoonchae, Manon Bannerman, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Rajagopalan, and the Philippines’ own Sophia Laforteza.
Contestants from the reality show were also revealed in its trailer, where they underwent numerous training sessions in dancing, singing, and performing, as well as recording songs for stages.
“It’s always been my dream to be an entertainer,” Skiendiel said in the trailer. Meanwhile, Rajagopalan said performing makes her feel “very free” as it allows her to “put everything out there.”
