Sandro Muhlach files complaint before NBI; dad Niño laments ‘vile acts’ done to son
Sandro Muhlach has sought the help of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) following the alleged sexual abuse by GMA’s independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.
Sandro was accompanied by his dad, former child star Niño Muhlach, in filing a complaint against two unnamed individuals, as per “24 Oras” report on Friday, Aug. 2. The NBI stated that the father and son requested for “privacy” on the case.
The young actor also told the news program in an exclusive statement, “Hindi po ako ok pero kakayanin ko po.”
Niño, for his part, took to his Facebook page also on Friday to ask for prayers as they seek justice for Sandro.
“Our family has suffered so much because of the unspeakable and vile acts done to our son,” Niño said.
Article continues after this advertisement“We ask for your prayers to help us muster enough strength and courage to withstand the horror of re-living the dastardly acts of the perpetrators as we seek justice through our legal system,” he continued. “Thank you for all your support and kind words and your gracious gift of space. We truly appreciate it.”

It was later revealed that the young actor was Sandro and the two consultants were Nones and Cruz, with GMA vowing to conduct the investigation with the highest standards of fairness and impartiality.”
Nones and Cruz’s legal counsel, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, then released a statement saying that the allegations circulating online “do not mirror the true accounts of the event.”
“We urge the public to respect the investigation being conducted on this case and we advise people who have no personal knowledge of the incident to refrain from posting baseless defamatory allegations and therefore unfairly subjecting both parties to publicity trial,” she further said.
