Marc Leviste on life after Kris Aquino
Just when we thought that Kris Aquino finally found her match in Marc Leviste, they split up a few months ago. Aside from the health updates, her fans eagerly waited for her latest posts about Marc.
I wondered how Marc is after the “Kris” chapter of his life, so I reached out to him. Even if he was still in LA, the cool vice governor accommodated me.
Too bad that something so beautiful between Kris and Marc had to go unfulfilled.
Here’s my chat with Marc:
What did you learn from your relationship with Kris?
Article continues after this advertisementI have learned to put Kris’ happiness before my own, because what makes her happy makes me very happy. As a matter of fact, while I was watching her interview with Sir Ogie (Diaz), I couldn’t help but be mesmerized by her beauty. Seeing her happy brings me solace. Nalulungkot man ako sa sinapit ng aming relasyon, maligaya na rin ako para sa kanya.
Article continues after this advertisementHow do you manage to remain friends, unlike most ex-couples?
That’s true, and I admit that I’m not good at maintaining friendships with an ex. However, my feelings for Kris are unique and extra special. She’s something else—in a good way, of course. As they say, a very special person deserves an equally special love.
Sa totoo lang, wala namang nagbago sa akin, at wala din naman akong sama ng loob o hinanakit sa kanya kaya siguro natural lang sa amin ang manatiling magkaibigan dahil kakaiba ang aming pinagsamahan. In the same way, my heart will always treasure the memories we shared, and I will forever be grateful for our time together. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been given the chance to take care of Kris, love her, and be loved by her.
On the other hand, my children have also managed to keep their communication lines open with their Tita Kris and the boys, Kuya Josh and Bimb. She will always be TK to my kids. We’ve felt strongly that our dependents shouldn’t be involved in any issue that affects our relationship.
What’s your message to the new guy (the doctor) in Kris’ life?
My message to her loved ones, friends and fans is this: I am here if there’s anything I can do for them. If I am needed in any way, I will make myself available for them immediately, even if I have to go out of the country.
Kaya naman pumunta po ako ng LA bago umuwi si Bimb pa-Manila, and I stayed here to be accessible and within reach for Kris while (Bimb) was away. Rest assured, my family and I will continue to pray for their health, peace and joy.
As for my kababayans, I will channel this love and energy into serving the people of Batangas.
Vivamax film on the big screen
Cinemagoers will be treated to the first Vivamax (VM) original movie to be shown in cinemas on Aug. 7 (R-16 in SM cinemas, R-18 in other cinemas).
“Unang Tikim” (UT), a girls’ love film by director Roman Perez Jr., stars Angeli Khang and Robb Guinto, with Matt Francisco.
In the film, Yuna (Angeli) and Becca (Robb) are each other’s first love. They are inseparable until Becca migrates to the US.
Nicco (Matt), Yuna’s boss, woos her while she is in a long-distance relationship with Becca. He eventually wins her heart when the girlfriends break up.
Four years later, Yuna is engaged to Nicco. Then, Becca returns to Manila. Their paths cross again, and both realize that they are still in love. Will Yuna’s history with Becca beat her chemistry with Nicco?
Here are quotes from Angeli (A), Robb (R) and Roman (RP):
A: At first, it felt awkward to do intimate scenes with Robb. We kept giggling, but we had to remind ourselves that it’s for the big screen so all our movements must be on point.
R: We feel a bit pressured that our movie is the very first VM movie for theatrical release. I almost didn’t land the part because there were some people doubting if I could pull it off.
RP: As a visionary, Boss Vic is brave enough to gamble on our GL film to be shown in cinemas. Angeli and Robb have crossed over to mainstream TV. Now, they’re ripe for the silver screen. They would even request to do another take if they felt they could give more to the scene.
A: When people dismiss me as just a sexy star, instead of getting offended, it serves as a challenge for me to show them that I have serious acting chops.
R: If ever my first love comes back, I will still accept him. You never forget your first.
RP: In my films, I don’t preach. I just make a statement. In UT, I want to convey the liberating power of love regardless of gender.
A: My family never obliged me to buy them anything material. So I just spoil them by treating them to dinner. They told me to save my earnings.
R: It’s easier to do love scenes with a girl than a guy. But when I’m really into the scene, it doesn’t matter if it’s a guy or girl.
RP: When I did “Adan,” which is also a GL film, many lesbian groups got mad at me because they didn’t like how the love story ended in murder. UT is my way of making it up to them.
