Police investigate death of US star Autumn Oxley of ’16 and Pregnant’
The death of reality star Autumn Crittendon-Oxley, who rose to fame when she appeared on the MTV reality show “16 and Pregnant” a decade ago is now being investigated by Virginia police in the United States.
Oxley, 27, was found unresponsive after police responded to a medical emergency shortly after 3:00 p.m. Saturday in Sandston, Virginia, about 14.5 kilometers east of the state capital of Richmond. She was later on pronounced dead after life-saving measures employed on her proved ineffective.
Authorities are still determining a cause of death, police said. Officials urged people with information to contact Henrico County police.

Oxley was on the fifth season of “16 and Pregnant,” which aired in 2014. The episode followed her pregnancy and the birth of Oxley’s son, Drake.
Article continues after this advertisementThe “death investigation” was prompted by a post on Facebook by Oxley’s sister, Misty Crittendon, who announced the reality star’s death with a hashtags #JusticeforAutumn and #CrittendonStrong .
Article continues after this advertisementA gofundme account was also created by Crittendon to pay for funeral expenses, as well as provide for Oxley’s three children.
“We are raising money for my beautiful baby sister’s services and for the children. Be patient with me as this is so extremely painful and doing all of this is something I never imagined I’d be doing,” she said on Facebook.
