Internet personality Ninong Ry shared glimpses of his flooded home in Malabon to his followers on social media, as several roads in Metro Manila and other parts of the Philippines got submerge in floodwaters due to rains brought by the southwest monsoon, enhanced by super typhoon Carina.

In videos posted on his social media accounts, Ninong Ry was seen wading through the flood-swamped rooms in his house, as well as the garden on Wednesday, July 24.

“Baha (Flood) update. I’m trying my best to stay positive pero habang palubog ng palubog ang it—g ko, pahirap ng pahirap (but while I’m getting deeper, it’s getting harder),” he wrote.

“Naku, baha na. Sara natin baka pumasok ‘yung tubig (Oh no, it’s flooded. Let’s close the door before the water goes inside),” he said in the video.

Metro Manila has been put in a state of calamity following incessant rains and flooding brought by the southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon Carina, according to Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benhur Abalos.

Carina developed into a super typhoon on Wednesday afternoon, according to Pagasa.
