Harrison Ford makes MCU debut in ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ teaser
The “Captain America: Brave New World” official teaser has been released, offering a fresh look at 81-year-old Harrison Ford as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, aka Red Hulk (in the comics), to mark his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut.
The fourth Captain America film will follow Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) in his first cinematic solo adventure. After being a sidekick to Rogers in past movies, Sam officially becomes Captain America at the end of his debut Disney+ series, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” in 2021.
The trailer opens with Sam meeting the newly elected US president, Thaddeus Ross (Ford), a role previously played by the late William Hurt. Sam finds himself embroiled in a global controversy that requires immediate action before the enemy takes over.
In the almost two-minute clip, fans enjoyed the sight of Mackie in his Captain America suit fighting some bad guys, as well as a glimpse of the mystery character Giancarlo Esposito will be playing; rumors say he could be one of the villains.
