It appears that Rico Blanco is set to rerelease the 1990s Rivermaya song “Kisapmata” amid his recent breakup with Maris Racal; and fans of the pair couldn’t help but feel all the feels.
Blanco dropped a teaser clip via his Instagram page on Thursday, July 11, a day before the actress made their split public. In the video, the musician, who is sitting in his studio, plays on his laptop the melody of “Kisapmata.”
“POV: You’re finally ready for the world to hear the track you’ve been working on for the last five months,” the phrase in the clip reads. He also added in the caption, “07.19.24,” which appears to be the release date for the song.
After Racal’s revelation, fans were then quick to relate the track to the current status of Blanco’s love life, swarming the comments section with their sentiments on the pair’s breakup.
Blanco, meanwhile, has yet to respond to these remarks or publicly address the breakup as of this writing.
Racal confirmed during a Star Magic Spotlight press conference that she and Blanco parted ways after five years of being together, saying there was no third party in their relationship.
