BINI continues to captivate listeners with their new single “Cherry on Top,” which  quickly grabbed the top spot on the iTunes Philippines chart.

“Cherry on Top,” which dropped on Thursday, July 11, is described as a track that aims to bring the P-pop superstars to the “global stage with its infectious hook, uplifting beat, and milestone video.”

Its music video, shot at Pontefino in Batangas, was released the same day.

The music video shows BINI donning ensembles with shades of pink and red while walking on a busy street. The scene then changes to the girl group in pastel outfits dancing in an all-pink set with cherries and a graffiti wall with the song’s name spelled out.

“Cherry on Top” was composed by Boy Matthews, GG Ramirez, Shintaro Yasuda and Skylar Mones, while Mones and Yasuda served as the producers. Also involved in the creative process are BINI’s main vocalists Maloi and Colet.

Mones and Yasuda are familiar names in the music scene, with the former, a Los Angeles-based record producer, known for his work with K-pop groups Red Velvet, EXO, Oh My Girl, Super Junior, Monsta X, Kiss of Life, Everglow and Momoland. Mones worked with Dua Lipa and Jennifer Lopez as well.

Yasuda, on the other hand, worked with Ariana Grande, K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM and South Korean solo artist Yuju.

Three hours after its release, “Cherry on Top’s” music video surpassed one million views, which was announced on BINI’s X (formerly Twitter) page.

“‘BINI’ Cherry On Top Music Video now has 1 million views in less than 4 hours! Cherry Mania is definitely on,” its post read.

The single also shot to the top of the iTunes Philippines chart.

“Cherry on Top” comes on the heels of BINI’s other hit releases “Salamin, Salamin,” “Pantropiko” and “Karera.” The girl group, currently embarking on their “BINIverse” tour, dropped their first EP, “Talaarawan,” in March.
