The fame of BINI reached new heights as their smash hit “Pantropiko” surpassed 100 million streams on music platforms Spotify and YouTube Music.

BINI’s label Star Music celebrated the hit track’s milestone on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, July 9, posting a clip featuring netizens and content creators dancing to the song.

According to the agency, “Pantropiko” also peaked at 65th place on YouTube’s Top 100 Daily Global Music Video chart.

“Back to back to back ang milestones ng ating Nation’s Girl Group BINI as ‘Pantropiko’ reaches [over 100 million streams] on Spotify and YouTube Music and peaked at #65 on YouTube Top 100 Daily Global Music Video Chart, currently ranking at #68,” it wrote.

“Pantropiko,” which was released in November 2023, was composed and written by Jumbo De Belen, Paula Chaves, Angelika Ortiz and Mart Sam Emmanuel Olavides. The song went viral on social media, eventually bringing immense fame to the P-pop female octet.

The track has been covered by many celebrities including Mamamoo’s Solar, UNIS’ Gehlee Dangca, Elisia Parmisano, Lim Seowon and Janella Salvador, to name a few.

Meanwhile, Red Velvet’s Irene did a short cover of the song during a fan call, as captured by a fan account on X.

“Pantropiko” is included in BINI’s first EP “Talaarawan,” which was released on March 8 coinciding with International Women’s Day. The EP also includes the tracks “Salamin, Salamin,” “Karera,” “Ang Huling Cha Cha,” “Na Na Nandito Lang,” and “Diyan Ka Lang.”

BINI is currently embarking on their “BINIverse” tour, which kicked off at the New Frontier Theater in June. The P-pop girl group celebrated their third debut anniversary at a fan event in Makati also in June.
