Zsa Zsa Padilla, partner or the late Comedy King, Dolphy, as well as the latter’s co-stars in the defunct “Home Along Da Riles” sitcom, commemorated the actor’s death 12 years ago.
Padilla, who is now in a relationship with architect Conrad Onglao, went to Dolphy’s tomb at the Heritage Park in Taguig, and offered a basket of white flowers, as posted in a Instagram post.
“It’s Dolphy’s 12th year death anniversary today. RIP, Lovey. You are always in our thoughts and prayers,” she wrote with a picture of her standing on her late husband’s grave.
In the comment section of her post, Dolphy’s son, Erik Quizon, left a message for Padilla.
“As always, Zsa! Thank you for the flowers,” he said.
Dolphy died in 2012 at the age of 83 due to a chronic lung disease and multiple organ failure.
‘Tatay Kevin’
Meanwhile, Dolphy’s “Home Along Da Riles” co-stars Claudine Barretto, Nova Villa, Maybelyn dela Cruz, Smokey Manaloto, Dang Cruz, son Vandolph Quizon, and grandson Boy2 Quizon also paid a visit to his tomb to mark his 12th death anniversary.
Boy2 documented their reunion and posted it on Instagram, highlighted by the tributes given by some cast members, followed by a little banquet.
“Remembering Tatay Kevin’s 12th Death Anniversary. We miss you, our Tatay Kevin. [light blue heart emoji],” Boy2 wrote in the caption.
In one of the clips, Villa delivered a short but heartfelt speech that brought other cast members to tears.
“Bagama’t hindi ka namin nakikita, nakakasama ng personal. Pero kahit kailan hindi ka nawala. Nandito ka sa aming mga puso,” said the veteran actress.
(Even if we can’t see you or be with you personally, it will always feel like you never left us because you are here in our hearts.)
Barretto also shared some photos from their visit on her Instagram page, writing, “Tatay, you are terribly missed. Mahal na mahal ka namin [praying and heart emojis].”
The “Home Along Da Riles” cast members recently had an emotional reunion as they got reunited with Cita Astals. With tears of joy, they declared that their family is back, despite being “lost for a while.”
