Batangas, Bukidnon, Tarlac bets top Miss World Philippines’ ‘head-to-head’ challenge
After a series of grueling sessions of extemporaneous speaking, the 2024 Miss World Philippines pageant has narrowed down the list of ladies with the gift of gab to three finalists—Dolly Cruz from Malaybalay, Bukidnon, Jasmine Omay from Tarlac Province, and Bianca Tapia from Batangas.
The ladies were chosen from the eight semifinalists for the “Head-to-Head” Challenge, who faced off at the final round of the preliminary event held at the Southville International School and Colleges in Las Piñas City on Monday, July 8.
“These exceptional ladies have showcased their speaking and presentation skills, intelligence, and quick thinking,” the Miss World Philippines Organization (MWPH) said on social media when it announced the names of the finalists. The challenge winner will earn a guaranteed spot in the semifinals at the coronation show.
Also among the semifinalists were former Miss Charm Philippines Krishnah Gravidez, 2021 Miss World Philippines First Princess Rhiana Pangindian, former Miss Manila Gabrielle Lantzer, Marianel Tan from Bacolod, and Christine Chagas from Quezon City.
The 35 ladies were split into five batches for the Head-to-Head challenge, and had their initial sessions at the Grand Westside Hotel in Parañaque City on Thursday, July 4. It followed the “Beauty with a Purpose” presentation on July 1, another fast-track event, where the three ladies also secured top placements.
