Ruffa Gutierrez took a trip down memory lane as she looked back on her reign as Binibining Pilipinas World, ahead of the coronation night which coincided with the celebration of the oldest national pageant’s 60th anniversary on July 7.

Gutierrez took to her Instagram page on Saturday, July 6, to share photos of herself wearing her silver tiara as she donned a red dress with matching red drop earrings.

“Balik tanaw (A look back) 31 years ago. [18-year-old me] when I was crowned Binibining Pilipinas World 1993 at the Araneta Coliseum. Time flies indeed,” she said in the caption.

Gutierrez’s photos earned the praise of her brother Richard as well as fellow beauty queens Nicole Cordoves, Stacey Gabriel, Katarina Rodriguez, and Charlene Gonzales in the comments.

TV host-eventologist Tim Yap, Sunshine Cruz, and Vina Morales were also in awe of her beauty.

She represented the Philippines at the Miss World 1993 tilt where she was named second runner-up. Jamaica’s Lisa Hanna brought home the coveted title.

Gutierrez will join the all-female hosts of the Binibining Pilipinas 2024 coronation night, consisting of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa, Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up Nicole Cordoves, and Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2014 MJ Lastimosa.
