Xian Lim praised his girlfriend, Iris Lee, following their red-carpet debut at the premiere of the film they co-wrote together, “Kuman Thong.”
The Kapuso actor took to Instagram to pen a sweet message to Lee and share some of their photos while filming their movie.
“To this talented, overly passionate human being,” he began. “Hardworking is an understatement when it comes to the effort you put into all your projects, may it be with me or all the great directors you have worked with.”
Lim asserted that their film came out the way it did because of Lee’s perseverance.
“Our [film] would not be the way it is now if it weren’t for you juggling the logistics in the [Philippines] and [Thailand] plus the creative side of Kumanthong [emojis],” he said.
“When all seemed impossible, you believed, pushed, carried everyone, went through great lengths, and created magic. To more films with you,” continued the actor.

In the comments section, Lee returned the appreciation by complimenting her boyfriend’s creative attitude.
“Thank you! Congratulations again to us, the actors, and the whole team. Nailuwal nating lahat ang baby mo [we gave birth to your baby] because of your infectious creative energy and childlike enthusiasm,” she wrote.
“Ang saya lang gumawa ng pelikula with you [it’s a joy to make films with you], despite any struggle. You are a true leader and artist. Keep on shining, Direk [@xianlimm!] To more magic together,” added the producer.
In May, Lim officially confirmed his relationship with Lee, following his highly publicized breakup with actress-host Kim Chiu.
Aside from being co-writers of the film, Lim also served as the director, and Lee was the associate producer.
“Kuman Thong” is a Thai-Filipino film that stars Cindy Miranda, child actors Althea Ruedas and Emman Esquivel, and Thai celebrities Max Nattapol and Jariya Therakaosal.
