Kris Aquino said she is set to undergo more tests for her autoimmune diseases, and might be cleared to return to the Philippines if such tests yield favorable results.
“Yes, gumagaling ako but as I’ve told you earlier, may mga natamaan na blood vessels so kailangan ko pang magpalakas,” the Queen of All Media told showbiz reporter Ogie Diaz, who flew to the United States where she currently seeks treatments.
“I can reveal to everybody na hopefully, sa last quarter ng taon bago mag-Pasko, I’ll be back in the Philippines,” she continued. “It just really depends kasi may pagdadaanan akong mga tests. Isa do’n ‘yung MRI with contrast dye.”
Aquino admitted she has fears over her upcoming medical tests, but she said she’s hopeful she will endure those because she had already undergone and overcome similar procedures.
“If I clear that and kinaya, then pwede nang ituloy sa Pilipinas ‘yung treatment sa akin,” she stated. “May mga gamot do’n na hindi available sa atin, pero there are three hospitals in the Philippines na pwedeng mag-import nung gamot. ”
“Mahaba pa ‘yung proseso bago ako gumaling. Kung umuwi ako, it could mean another one year and a half to two years na ‘yung gamot kailangan ipagpatuloy,” she added.
Aquino further said that her medical team is working on making her immune system stronger so she could fly to the Philippines.
“I miss home, of course,” she lamented, expressing her longing as well for her eldest son, Josh, who is currently in the Philippines and refuses to fly back to the US.
She also shared that her youngest son Bimby, who was beside her all throughout the interview, had to cancel last minute his recent flight to the Philippines because she was very emotional and did not want to be separated from him.
“I’m very grateful na buhay pa ako,” Aquino said. “I think I am proof na ‘wag ka lang mawalan ng pananampalataya.”
“I’m holding on to that belief na bago matapos ang September, nandyan na ako [sa Pilipinas],” she added.
