Korean star Sandara Park opened up about her past sad feelings about leaving the Philippines in 2007 after 10 years living in the Philippines to permanently live in South Korea.

In the latest episode of her YouTube travel show “Dara Tour,” Park admitted that she was worried about leaving the life she knew and experienced in the Philippines.

“My siblings may not have realized it, but I lived through my teens and into adulthood. I did an entertainment job in the Philippines. So I was worried about going back. I didn’t have any friends in Korea,” she said in Korean.

The former 2NE1 member shared that Tagaytay was the last place she and her family visited before leaving the country, and felt “so sad” at the time.

“We were going back to Korea after living in the Philippines for about 10 years. The day before I left, I drove my car, brought Thunder, my sister, and my mom, and we ate at Gerry’s Grill in Tagaytay. I was so sad back then,” she said.

The “Dara Tour” episode features her brother Thunder, his wife Mimi, and actor Lee Joon as they recently traveled to Tagaytay for Park’s vlog.

Park expressed her gratitude for being with his brother and her guilt about not being able to bring her family on her travels.

“I always brought my friends to Dara Tour. But somewhere inside, I thought, ‘I’m not showing these views to my family. I’m not buying this tasty food for my family and only bringing it for my friends,’” the K-pop star said.

Park rose to fame after she joined “Star Circle Quest” in 2004, opening doors for her to have a career in acting and singing in the Philippines. When she went back to Korea, she signed a contract with YG Entertainment and debuted in the girl group 2NE1 in 2009.
