Andi Eigenmann penned a birthday message for her late aunt, seasoned actress Cherie Gil, who was supposed to be celebrating her 61st birthday on June 21.
Eigenmann took to Instagram to share some old bonding moments with her late aunt, making sure she honored her memories on her special day.
“Remembering you in my life’s little moments always; remembering you more today on your birthday,” she wrote in the caption. “I love you always, Tita Cherie. Thank you for always being there for me.”
In August 2022, Gil died after a long battle with endometrial cancer. She was 59.

Meanwhile, Eigenmann also recently mourned the untimely death of her mother, veteran actress Jaclyn Jose, who died of heart attack last March.
In an interview on “My Mother, My Story” on June 9, Eigenmann opened up anew about her mother’s death.
“It’s only once that you lose a mother. You only have one mother. Losing someone that important to you changes you. Everything changes,” she expressed.
Eigenmann described her mother as a “work of art” and stressed how positively she honors her memory.
“She’s a work of art. All of her own, with her many facets. Many personalities, many emotions. [Before] I feel like it’s hard for me because that’s how she is, but now remembering her that way, I only remember her that way in the most positive sense,” she explained.
Meanwhile, Eigenmann also recently made headlines after her fiancé, Philmar Alipayo, went viral after a video of him seemingly getting “flirty” with another woman made the rounds on social media.
“When I saw the video, I ignored it; I just looked at him. When I saw the video, I said, ‘ngek’ then I looked at him, ‘what’s this?’ and then I ignored it, and parang tumawa lang siya, pinagtawanan lang namin,” said Eigenmann, addressing the viral video.
“What bothered me is finding out that it was done on purpose, that the person in the video was the one that posted it. That’s what bothered me because then you just created something super unnecessary,” she added.
Eigenmann is Jose’s only daughter with the late actor Mark Gil.
