Sue Ramirez mourns death of grandmother who raised her

Sue Ramirez paid tribute to her late grandmother, with the actress regarding herself lucky to have experienced the “purest form of love” from the latter.
Ramirez spoke about her grief, admitting it took her days to find the right words befitting the situation, as per her Instagram page on Friday, June 21. The actress’ mom died on June 18.
“Kung lubusan niyo akong kilala, alam niyo na isa sa mga pinakaimportanteng tao sa buhay ko ay ang lola ko—si Mama. Hindi kailanman magiging sapat ang mga salita para ipaliwanag kung gaano ko siya kamahal at ang pagpapasalamat ko sa kanya,” she said.
“Si Mama ang nag-alaga sakin habang lumalaki ako, kasama ko palagi nung nagsisimula pa lang ako,” she continued, noting that it was her grandmother who made her feel how it is to be “number one.”

As the actress addressed her “Mama,” she thanked her for the selfless love she gave and taught her.
“Habang buhay nang may butas ang puso ko dahil sa pagkawala mo,” Ramirez lamented. “Habang buhay ko mamimiss na asarin ka at kumandong sayo. Yung boses mo at ngiti mo.”
“The purest form of love that I have ever known. Sobrang swerte ko na naranasan kong mahalin at pahalagahan nang ganito,” she added. “I will forever keep your memory alive, Ma. Sa isip at sa puso ko hinding-hindi ka mawawala.”
Ramirez then asked the public to include her grandmother in their prayers.
On her Instagram Stories, Ramirez also gave a glimpse of her grandmother’s wake, showing the latter’s urn and portrait surrounded by flower arrangements.
