After six years, the Asian drama king Jericho Rosales is set to make his long-awaited comeback on television via the revenge series “Lavender Fields.”
Dreamscape Entertainment revealed the Kapamilya actor’s character in the series through a social media announcement.
“JERICHO ROSALES is TYRONE DE VERA!” they wrote in the cast reveal video. “This is THE GRANDEST COMEBACK of the Asian Drama King sa Primetime Bida! Abangan si Jericho Rosales sa GRANDEST SERYE ng taon, mula sa ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment!”
Rosales will star opposite Jodi Sta. Maria and Janine Gutierrez. The rest of the cast is yet to be revealed.
In the comment section, Rosales thanked the fans for their enthusiastic reactions to his television comeback.
“Hey guys, reading comments. THANK YOU!!!” wrote the actor. “Y’all have a good dayyyy See you soon!!! Maraming salamat ulitttt.”
The “Pangako Sa’Yo” actor also expressed his gladness to have the chance to work with an amazing ensemble.
“Stoked I’m finally working with Jodi, Janine, and the rest of the gang! We have an amazing cast! Parating na rin sila!” he said.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, the 44-year-old actor said that he’s very excited to return to television, especially after his hiatus.
“For me, timing is everything. It’s the perfect project, something that is aligned sa goals ko for my career now in film, TV, and streaming,” he remarked.
Rosales last starred in the melodrama “Halik” in 2019, alongside Sam Milby, Yen Santos, and Yam Concepcion.
Meanwhile, the actor recently went to Cannes for the Marché International des Programmes de Télévision (MIPTV) event in France for his drama series “Sellblock.”
“‘Sellblock’ is more than just a series,” he told Deadline. “It’s an immersive experience that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Working alongside such a talented team has been an absolute privilege, and I can’t wait for viewers to see the magic we’ve created.”
