Park Bo-gum, Ji Chang-wook join forces in variety show ‘My Name is Gabriel’
South Korean actors Park Bo-gum and Ji Chang-wook will take some time off the spotlight to live normal lives in the upcoming reality show “My Name is Gabriel,” set for a June 21 release.
The show will revolve around Park and Ji, along with “The Glory” star Yeom Hye-ran and South Korean comedian Park Myung-soo, “trading their stardom for 72 hours of normality.”
In a press statement by Disney+ Korea, Park, Ji, Yeom, and Park will be assigned by an “AI algorithm to live non-celebrity lives” where they will settle in new homes and work someone else’s job for 72 hours.
The South Korean stars were reportedly sent to locations in Chiang Mai in Thailand, Chongqing in China, Guadalajara in Mexico, and Dublin in Ireland, although it remains unknown which of the stars were assigned.
Park, who started his acting career in 2011, is best known for his lead roles in “Reply 1988,” “Love in the Moonlight,” “Encounter,” and “Record of Youth.” He is set to star with singers-songwriter IU in the upcoming series “When Life Gives You Tangerines.”
