Ai Ai Delas Alas aired her frustration after receiving some information that the report about her desire to do a “Ang Tanging Ina” reunion movie was allegedly taken down, as she explained that “there’s nothing wrong” that she asked the management if it was possible given that she was the lead in the movie.

In a video uploaded on Facebook, the comedian explained that she was asked about the reunion movie in a Zoom media conference on May 26, and she shared that she previously asked Star Cinema if it would be possible to do it, with them collaborating as she plans to co-produce it.

Delas Alas also said that her cast members, who played her children in the film, also expressed their willingness to participate if the reunion movie happens.

Sabi nila, ‘Oo Mama, go kami diyan.’ Sabi ko, ‘O, sige, try natin hahanap ako ng producer tapos gawin natin,’” added the actress.

However, the former Kapamilya actress claimed that one executive from Star Cinema asked ABS-CBN News to take down the report on the reunion movie.

Bakit parang may pa-take down na datingan?” she lamented.

Delas Alas said that it’s true that she asked a close friend from Star Cinema about the possibility of a reunion movie of the blockbuster film.

Totoo yon, nakausap ko si Roxy Liquigan (former advertising and promotions manager of Star Cinema).

Tapos, sino ang puwedeng maging direktor in case?’” continued the actress.

The comedian remarked that she asked Star Cinema as they were the ones who produced the three “Ang Tanging Ina” movies, and she believes that it is her right as she was the leading actress for the project.

“Ako naman yung Tanging Ina du’n, di ba? So, anong masama kung magtanong ako? Bakit, pinagkakitaan ninyo naman ako dati sa Star Cinema, di ba?” she said.

“Masama ba yon at saka sobrang nakapagtataka. Minamaliit ninyo ako, ganoon? Bakit, e, talagang wala tayong magagawa, ako naman yung naging Tanging Ina, di ba? Ano bang dahilan ninyo?” added the actress.

As of this writing, ABS-CNS’s report on the reunion movie is currently unavailable on their website.
