Kim Chiu grateful for 18 years in show biz: ‘Cheers to more’
Actress-host Kim Chiu marked a new milestone as she hit 18 years in the showbiz industry, describing her journey as a beautiful one.
On Instagram, the Kapamilya actress penned a lengthy gratitude message to her fans, who organized a surprise for her alongside her “It’s Showtime” and “ASAP” families.
Her post included some throwback pictures from when she joined “Pinoy Big Brother” as well as some pictures of her now, showing her smiling self receiving surprises and gifts such as flowers and billboards from her fans.

“18th year in showbiz. I am out of words, but I am just thankful for this beautiful journey,” she began in her caption.

Through ups and downs, you’ve been with me. Maraming maraming salamat for making me feel loved, wanted, and appreciated,” continued the actress.

“I am thankful for the trust this colorful, shiny, wonderful world has given me. Sa lahat po ng sumusuporta at nag titiwala maraming salamat po. To the people I’ve met and worked with for the past 18 years. Cheers to more years to come,” she expressed.

Fellow celebrities including Bianca Gonzalez, Ruby Ruiz, Iza Calzado, and Melai Cantiveros, among others, extended their congratulations to Chiu.
“So incredibly proud of you!!!! I vividly remember when you wore that white gown that day, deep inside I was like, “Big Winner.” Love you for life!!!” said Gonzalez.
“I am blessed to have worked with you in that 18 years!!! Counting on to more years Kim, congratulations,” wrote Ruiz.
Chiu rose to fame after winning the first teen edition of “Pinoy Big Brother” in 2006. Over the years, she secured roles that earned her a household name, including the TV series “My Binondo Girl,” “Ina, Kapatid, Anak,” “Sana Maulit Muli,” and the most recent, “Linlang” and “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.”
Aside from television, Chiu also worked on notable movies such as “Till My Heartaches End,” “The Healing,” “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?” and “Bride for Rent,” among others. She hass also been one of the regular hosts of “It’s Showtime” since 2020.
