Charo Santos was commended by netizens after she was able to “locate” fellow actress Eva Darren at the FAMAS awards night, which the organizers—unfortunately—was unable to do.

Santos was among the celebrities who graced the event, as seen in a series of photos she shared on her Instagram page. In one of the snaps, Santos seemed to have approached Darren on her table and shook her hands.

“An exchange of kamustahans and hugs with my dear friends and co-actors in FAMAS,” Santos captioned her post, which also includes her photos with veteran actors Pilar Pilapil, Marissa Delgado and Divina Valencia, among others.

Santos’ followers were apparently quick to notice Darren in the photos. In the comments section, they took a swipe at the award-giving body which earlier claimed that Darren had to be “replaced” as a presenter because she couldn’t be “located by the production team.”

“Everyone saw Eva Darren except FAMAS [organizers],” one @shielafrances1990 said.

“Buti pa si Madam Charo natagpuan si Madam Eva,” Instagram account @pageantbitz commented.

“Bakit nahanap ni Ma’am Charo si Ms. Eva, ang FAMAS staff, [hindi?]” asked user @amaia.tamarah.

“Si Madam Charo lang po nakakaalam kung nasaan si Miss Eva,” said one @prettycrxxp.

Fernando de la Peña, Darren’s son, earlier called out the award-giving body for this, regarding such action as “rude, disrespectful, unethical and unprofessional.”

The FAMAS then issued a public apology which De la Peña accepted on behalf of his mother. He, however, advised the organizers to “stick to the script” and wear “a nice pair of eyeglasses” for next year’s awarding ceremony.
