Kathryn Bernardo, Piolo Pascual, and Alfred Vargas brought home the top acting plums, while “Mallari” won Best Picture at the 72nd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) awards on Sunday, May 26 at the Manila Hotel.

Bernardo bagged her first FAMAS Best Actress award for her performance in the film “A Very Good Girl,” while Pascual and Vargas were tied for Best Actor for their movies “Mallari” and “Pieta,” respectively.

The Roderick Cabrido-helmed “Mallari” was the biggest winner of the star-studded event, bringing home a total of seven awards.
