Pageant fans, it’s now your chance to boost your favorite’s delegate winning chances as Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPH) announced that there will be live real-time voting for the coronation happening tonight, Wednesday, May 22, 8 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
The local organization shared the news on Instagram, teasing the fans that they could be the 11th judge of the competition by downloading the MUPH application.
“You can be the 11th judge! Fans everywhere can now vote for their favorite Miss Universe Philippines 2024 finalists and help increase their chances of getting closer to the crown,” the caption wrote.
MUPH explained the process of the live voting, stating that fans can vote three times from the Top 20 until the very last round, when Miss Universe Philippines 2024 is named.
“From the Top 20, vote for your favorite to enter the Top 10. And from the Top 10, you can vote again to move up your favorite to the Top 5! From the Top 5, vote one last time for the one you think deserves to be Miss Universe Philippines 2024!” they said.
“This is exactly how it feels to be a judge in Miss Universe Philippines! The power to choose our next queen is in YOUR hands,” concluded the caption.
Fifty-three aspirants will vie for the crown tonight, and aside from the titleholder who will represent the Philippines in Miss Universe 2024, the search for new bearers of the additional four crowns is waiting as well, namely Miss Supranational Philippines, Miss Charm Philippines, Miss Eco International Philippines, and Miss Cosmo Philippines.
Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel, Emmy-winning host Jeannie Mai, Tim Yap, and actors Alden Richards and Gabbi Garcia will be sharing the hosting duties for tonight’s much-awaited event.
Fans are also anticipating the presence of guest performers such as pop band Lola Amour, drag queen Marina Summers, and Thai actor Win Metawin.
