'Home Along Da Riles' cast hops on Asoka trend

The cast of the 1990s hit sitcom “Home along da Riles,” led by Nova Villa and Claudine Barretto, wowed fans with their entry to the Asoka makeup challenge.

Villa and Barretto were joined by Vandolph Quizon, Boy2 Quizon, Smokey Manaloto, Gio Alvarez, Jenny Quizon, Maybelyn dela Cruz and Cita Astals, as seen on Barretto’s Instagram page on Friday, May 17.

The clip features Villa, Barretto, Astal, dela Cruz and Quizon in Indian bridal makeup, while the guys were in Indian clothing. It also has references to their sitcom, including railway track makeup.

The cast members have been having reunions since 2023. Some of their gatherings took place at Manaloto’s baptismal party for his son last June and on Dolphy’s 11th death anniversary in July.

The group also reunited in April to surprise Villa on her 77th birthday. The birthday surprise was held at a restaurant in Quezon City.

“Home along da Riles” ran from 1992 to 2003. The late comedian Babalu was also among the cast members of the hit show.
