Vice Ganda highlights beauty, struggles, PH issues in Asoka challenge
Vice Ganda earned praises after he hopped on the Asoka makeup challenge with a socially relevant take, vowing to always choose the country, however hard it is.
Using Angeline Quinto’s song “Piliin Mo ang Pilipinas,” the comedian’s video begins with clips from some of the treasured tourist destinations in the Philippines, as seen on his Facebook page on Friday, May 10.
It is then followed by Vice Ganda’s makeup transitions from being barefaced to his glammed-up looks in casual wear and in a Filipiniana.
The TV host then features the traffic congestion and exhausting commuter experience in the country, protests concerning the PUV modernization program, the infamous Torre de Manila that photobombs the Rizal Monument in Luneta Park, the resort that was built in the Chocolate Hills in Bohol, and the water cannon assault by China Coast Guard in the West Philippine Sea.
At the latter part, a struggling Vice Ganda crawls as he reaches for the Philippine flag and then waves it.
