Kathryn Bernardo ‘very grateful’ after being hailed Box Office Queen
Kathryn Bernardo is grateful to add another recognition to her name after she was named the Box Office Queen at the Box Office Entertainment Awards of the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation.
Bernardo was recognized at the star-studded event last May 12 for her performance in the film “A Very Good Girl” with BAFTA and Golden Globe nominee, Dolly de Leon.
“I’m very grateful. I’m so grateful. Ang Guillermo Mendoza Foundation naman and ganitong klaseng events, isa sila sa most prestigious awards,” she said at a brief chance interview.

Also present at the event was Alden Richards, who accepted the Box Office King award for his performance in the movie “Five Breakups and a Romance” with Julia Montes.
Incidentally, Richards was rumored to be courting the actress. When asked about the real score in his relationship status with Bernardo, the actor merely laughed off the question.
Bernardo has been lauded for starring in box-office hits throughout her career, including “Hello, Love, Goodbye” and “The Hows of Us.” She was recently nominated for Best Actress at the Gawad Urian and FAMAS awards for “A Very Good Girl.”
Bernardo is set to star in the historical fiction movie “Elena 1944” but details about the plot and premiere date are yet to be announced.
