Rebel Wilson gave an exciting update on “Pitch Perfect 4” as she teased, “There’s a new one that is being developed.”

In an interview with BBC Radio 2, the Hollywood actress remarked that she was not sure what the storyline would be for the fourth installment of the musical-comedy film series should it push through.

“Hopefully there’s a fourth one in the works. There is one being developed. I know we’re older now, so I don’t know exactly what the storyline’s going to be. I guess they’ve got to get the script right first, which is the age-old dilemma,” she said.

Wilson, who played Patricia “Fat Amy” Hobart in the franchise, remarked that she enjoyed working with the rest of the cast in the first three movies.

“I absolutely loved making those movies — we’re all still friends, all of us girls — they’re just so joyful. I think what people see on the screen is just us having a laugh,” she said.

“It wasn’t really acting because I love singing and dancing, and I just loved hanging out with that cast so much. It was really fun,” added the actress.

When the first “Pitch Perfect” was released in 2012, it received critical acclaim, opening doors to two more sequels, “Pitch Perfect 2” (2015) and “Pitch Perfect 3” (2017).

“Pitch Perfect” focuses on The Barden Bellas, a female a cappella group, and stars Anna Kendrick as Beca, Brittany Snow as Chloe, Anna Camp as Aubrey, Skylar Astin and Ben Platt, among others.

Kendrick admitted in a previous interview that “she did not expect the franchise to be successful the way it did.”

In 2022, the franchise premiered its TV series counterpart, “Bumper in Berlin.” However, its second season was canceled due to last year’s Hollywood strike.
