The queen has arrived. Reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios has landed in Manila, a photograph of her arrival was shared by Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) Pres. Jonas Gaffud, afternoon on May 1.
“Welcome to the Philippines @sheynnispalacios_of ! Thank you so much @oliviaquido and @bucaromariomexico,” Gaffud said in a social media post.
The Nicaraguan beauty was seen wearing a short, asymmetrical hot pink dress, with a long butterfly sleeve on her left arm that stretched all the way to her wrist.
MUPH Executive Vice President Voltaire Tayag was also in the photo, along with Miss Universe Organization (MUO) VP for Global Partnerships Olivia Quido-Co and VP for International Relations Mario Bucaro.
Palacios’ visit to the Philippines is part of her Asian tour, that already took her to Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and China. Her next destination will be in India.
Quido-Co said in a recent Tiktok video posted by MUO owner Anne Jakrajutatip that Palacios will have a motorcade in the Philippines. The beauty queen will be in the country until May 7.
MUPH said on social media, “while in the country, Sheynnis will be gracing various activities for Miss Universe Philippines.”
For the third year in a row, a reigning Miss Universe titleholder has visited the Philippines. Palacios’ predecessor R’Bonney Gabriel paid a visit last year, while 2021 winner Harnaaz Sandhu came to the country in 2022.
