Anne Curtis is once again a happy fangirl after she and K-pop boy group members Jake and Sunghoon of ENHYPEN posed for a photo in an elevator.

On Instagram, the “It’s Showtime” hosts shared some highlights of the month of April, which included meeting the ENHYPEN members.

“Tiffany elevator buddies,” she described the photo of her and the K-pop boys.

Curtis, Jake, and Sunghoon are some of the ambassadors of the high-end luxury brand, alongside Blackpink’s Rosé, Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine, and K-pop soloist Rowoon, among others.

The Filipina actress has been a K-drama and K-pop fan since 2017. Over the years, she’s been rubbing elbows with Korean stars. Some of the celebrities she met were her ultimate favorite Oppa Gong Yoo, the four members of Blackpink, Nam Joo Hyuk, Park Bo Gum, Sehun of EXO, and K-pop idol-actress IU.

Curtis said that her interaction with IU was a “moment she will forever treasure.”

Meanwhile, Curtis is not the only Filipina celebrity who is fond of meeting Korean celebrities. Global fashion influencer Heart Evangelista has also had her share of meet-and-greets with Lee Min-Ho, Song Hye Kyo, former member of Girls Generation Jessica Jung, Kim Mingyu of Seventeen, Ji Chang Wook, and former member of f(x) Krystal Jung, among others.

Some studies have shown that the Philippines is one of the biggest consumers of K-drama and K-pop. These studies cite that geography and westernization are two of the reasons Filipinos can connect deeply with Korean entertainment.

“K-culture is gaining global popularity, and the Philippines is not so far geographically, so they’re able to access it more easily. And Koreans visit the Philippines more often, so they have contact with Korea, and I think that’s why they come across it a lot,” wrote Asian Boss.
