Vice Ganda to return to big screen with ‘Breadwinner’
Comedian-show host Vice Ganda is set to make a comeback on the big screen as he announced his upcoming film, “And the Breadwinner Is…” with director Jun Robles Lana.
In the Friday episode of “It’s Showtime,” Vice Ganda and Lana announced that they are collaborating for the first time on the film co-produced by Star Cinema and Idea First.
“This is it! New movie alert. Your mother will be mothering again sa mga sinehan. Magbabalik pelikula po tayo para magbigay ng Unkabogability sa buong society,” said Vice Ganda.
Lana remarked that the story of their upcoming film will resonate with many viewers and that the audience can expect a full-blown comedy.
“‘Yung pagsasama ng style namin, I think it will result to something really special. ‘Yung kwento nito ay napaka personal, napaka importante kay Vice. It’s equally important to me. Palagay ko maraming manonood ang makakarelate dito,” he said.

Lana is known for his films “Die Beautiful,” “Barber’s Tales” and “Becky and Badette,” among others.
Vice Ganda starred in some of the highest-grossing films in Philippine cinema, including “Fantastica,” “The Super Parental Guidance,” “Sisterakas,” “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy” and “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin.”
