Cassy Legaspi piqued the interest of netizens after she shared a lyric from Russ’ “Ain’t Nobody Takin My Baby” about how “hurt people hurt people.”
The actress made the intriguing post through her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, April 10, sharing the link to the song.
“‘Cause hurt people hurt people, that’s a known fact,” the lyric box read.
The post also includes an image of a pitch-black man-like figure seemingly consoling a girl.

Prior to this, Legaspi also shared Olivia Rodrigo’s song “Favorite Crime,” which is about a love that is toxic, mistreated and not reciprocated.
Some fans speculated that it was about her close friend and then-rumored boyfriend Darren Espanto, as it coincidentally came after the singer said that he and Legaspi were just best friends.
Meanwhile, Legaspi gave a glimpse of her recent Japan trip in a separate post, which also had comments seemingly referring to her relationship with Espanto.

Aside from Legaspi, her mom, actress-TV host Carmina Villarroel, also sparked intrigue after she shared a cryptic quote around the same time as her daughter.
“Don’t expect the same in return,” it read.
Legaspi has yet to comment on these speculations, as of writing.
