Patrick Garcia reveals courting Anne Curtis before

Former teen heartthrob Patrick Garcia shared that when he was younger, he courted actress-host Anne Curtis, who he also credited as the first girl who rejected his romantic interest.

During the fast talk session with Boy Abunda, Garcia was asked who was the first woman who turned him down in the past, and he immediately replied, “Anne Curtis.”

The “Tabing-Ilog” actor gave a brief background about Curtis’ rejection. “Matagal na ito, mga 1999 pa ito. Ngayon ko lang sinabi ito, sorry guys.” (It was a long time ago, around 1999. I just revealed it now. Sorry everyone.)

When Curtis was still a talent for GMA-7, she made a guest appearance on the youth-oriented series “G-Mik” in the 1990s, where Garcia used to be a mainstay actor.

In 2005, the two worked together in the ABS-CBN’s musical fantasy drama “Kampanerang Kuba.”

Garcia did not disclose the girl he first courted and also denied the rumors that he dated a fan and that women have courted him in the past.

The “Gimik” actor also shared that the most ridiculous rumor he has heard about himself was when he was accused of being gay, something that surprised even him.

In a past interview with Toni Gonzaga, Garcia admitted that he wasn’t aware of his heartthrob image before, and it was only when he had shows in malls that he realized he actually had fans who went overboard for him.

The “Ang TV” star also opened up then about what he disliked most about being in showbiz: the lack of privacy.

“Wala kang privacy masyado, during those times. But after a while, nasasanay ka. Kailangan matibay rin loob mo,” he said. (You don’t have much privacy during those times, but after a while, you get used to it. You also need to be strong.)

Garcia is now married to Nikka Martinez, and they have four children together. The actor also shares a son with his ex-girlfriend actress Jennylyn Mercado.

Meanwhile, Curtis has been married to Erwan Heussaff since 2017, and they have one daughter named Dahlia Amélie.
