Han So-hee, Ryu Jun-yeol part ways after months of dating

Han So-hee and Ryu Jun-yeol’s talent agencies confirmed that the Korean actors have broken up, two weeks after making their romance public.  

“Han So-hee and actor Ryu Jun-yeol have broken up. They realized that their roles as actors are greater. They have promised not to waste any emotions on personal matters any longer,” Han’s agency, 9ato Entertainment, said in a statement released on Saturday, March 30.

Han, through the talent company, also noted that she had made it “difficult” for herself and the public and for that, she would “duly receive whatever criticism there is.”

“Moreover, our responsibility is huge, for not being able to care for our actor as her agency,” the talent management added. “The company failed in its role as a nesting place. We are reflecting. Although it is very late, we are trying to correct it from now on. We hope you will look over her warmly. She will return again healthy.”

Prior to this confirmation, the “Gyeongseong Creature” actress also reportedly shared via her blog a photo of Australian-American actress Nicole Kidman, which was taken when her divorce from Tom Cruise was finalized.

Ryu’s agency likewise said on the split, “It is true that Ryu Jun-yeol broke up with Han So-hee.” The actor, meanwhile, has been mum about the matter since the dating speculations arose.

Just a day before the split announcement, Han shared a lengthy statement where she reiterated that her relationship with Ryu did not overlap with his ex-girlfriend Hyeri.

Han further said that she was “frustrated about the fact that one person involved in [the] matter is maintaining silence,” seemingly referring to the Korean actor.

Han confirmed last March 16 that she and Ryu first met in November 2023, then started dating early this year.
