Heart Evangelista spoke about her traumatic experience with her once “most trusted soldiers,” who abused her vulnerability and took a “piece of [her] smile.”
The actress-fashion personality was reminded of such after she saw an exhibition of a woman who lets individuals in underneath her sizeable skirt, at an art exhibit in Hong Kong on Thursday, March 28.
“This is giving me intense [post-traumatic stress disorder],” she wrote on her Instagram Stories, showing a clip of the exhibition.
“People you let into your life. Allowing each to take a piece of your smile. Being completely vulnerable. Showing the bad and good side, thinking the ‘heart’ shall save all,” she stated. “To sleeping with your most trusted soldiers, to waking up as a ghost of what they had murdered.”
In a separate post, Evangelista showed more from the art exhibit, along with a poem that seems to be about her.
“Her/ It was was her eyes that spoke so much/ It was her soul lost in a world/ Too deep for anyone to explore/ Her voice/ Hardly heard and never quite understood/ The color of her hair like a veil of shadows reflected from the moon/ The night star that hardly twinkled in the midnight sky/ That was her,” it read.
While Evangelista opted not to say anything further about her traumatic experience, it can be noted that the actress had opened up in January about the “damage” caused to her by people she was once close to.
Evangelista did not immediately name the people she was referring to, although she hinted that those who wronged her work in the same field as hers.
Meanwhile, the fashion personality made headlines late last year due to her falling out with her former makeup artists Jeck Aguilar and Justin Louise Soriano.
