Kathryn Bernardo’s mother commends her daughter for ‘refusing to quit’
Kathryn Bernardo’s mother, Luzviminda “Min” Bernardo, penned a heartfelt birthday greeting for her youngest daughter, praising her for staying strong despite “being not okay lately.”
The “Hello, Love, Goodbye” actress celebrated her 28th birthday in Palawan on Tuesday, March 26, with her celebrity friends Alden Richards, Jericho Rosales, Dominic Roque, Maymay Entrata, Miles Ocampo, among others.
On Instagram, Min shared a smiling picture of the Kapamilya actress, their family portrait, and a few quotes about “having a good heart” amid the hurtful experiences.
“Shout out to you my daughter, you haven’t felt okay lately but you get up everyday and refuse to quit,” she wrote.
Min expressed her appreciation for Kathryn’s initiative “to talk and share her problems, ideas, and opinions” as well as “considering the guidance of her family in every step of the way.”

Last year, Kathryn faced some major career and life changes after she broke up with her former love team and long-term boyfriend, Daniel Padilla, who’s been caught up in cheating allegations.
Meanwhile, the Box Office Queen’s best friend Sofia Andres also penned a sweet birthday message, praising Kathryn for being a good friend and having “no superstar complex.”
“I know deep in my heart that you are really an angel that’s why you’re so blessed and loved by many. Napaka simple, walang star complex, walang power trip, that one friend that would always message me and say ‘proud of you’, appreciative, thoughtful, hindi mayabang,” she said.

Andres further said Kathryn’s beauty only comes second to her good personality.
“The panlabas na anyo is just a plus but what’s inside— you cannot fake that. You make everyone feel that they belong, a family. Stay true to yourself & always always keep your feet on the ground.” she added.
