Real-life couple Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo will soon be seen together on the big screen as they are set to star in the upcoming romance-comedy film “Everything about My Wife.”
Mercado and Trillo announced this through an interview on “24 Oras” on Monday, March 25. The project is said to be a Philippine adaptation of an Argentinian movie which is yet to be disclosed.
“Maraming makaka-relate dito. Masaya ‘yung treatment niya, maganda ‘yung pagka-adapt niya with the Filipino twist,” the actor said, hinting that the film is about a couple that frequently fights, eventually leading to the one giving the other away.
(A lot of people will relate to this. It has a light treatment and it adapted well with the Filipino twist.)

“Nung umpisa, medyo nangangapa ako dahil hindi ako sanay gumawa ng mga light na projects. Syempre sinusuportahan naman ako ng asawa ko—Queen of Rom-Com,” he said.
(At first, I was still adjusting because I was not used to doing light projects. But of course, my wife—being the Queen of Rom-Com—has been supporting me.)
While the couple opted not to give away further details on the project, the film appears to be the same project—which was announced in September 2023—in which Mercado was supposed to star alongside Gerald Anderson and Sam Milby.
It was not immediately known, however, if the cast members had changed or if Trillo was just an addition to the project.
Mercado has been married to Trillo since 2021. In the same year, the couple announced Mercado’s pregnancy, then welcomed their daughter Dylan in April 2022.
