Jennylyn Mercado shared her family’s plan to move abroad once she and her husband, Dennis Trillo, decide to retire from show biz.

Speaking on the GMA Pinoy TV podcast, the Kapuso actress revealed that they bought a property in the United States as part of their backup plan for their retirement.

Pagka ayaw na namin sa Philippines, gusto na naming mag-retire sa ibang bansa, at least meron kaming matitirhan out of the country,” she shared.

The “Love, Die, Repeat” star noted that living abroad has the perk of freedom which allows you to live with people minding their own business instead of meddling with others.

In February 2023, Mercado first gave a glimpse of their two-story house with an overhead garage door on her Instagram Story. The actress simply captioned it with a GIF of “Thank you, Lord” with red heart emojis.

As shared by the couple’s manager, Becky Aguila, the house is located at the Summerlin Residential Community in Las Vegas Valley, Southern Nevada, with a view of the Red Rock Canyon.

Aside from this out-of-country residence, Mercado and Trillo also have a rest house in Tanay, Rizal, made out of shipping containers. They recently did a tour of their mountain-top home and talked about their relationship being together for almost 10 years.

Ayaw mo na ng controversies,” said Trillo, explaining why they remain low-key in their relationship.
