Gabby Eigenmann defends sister Andi Eigenmann from basher
Gabby Eigenmann defended his paternal half-sister, Andi Eigenmann, who was criticized for her recent public posts about her mother, the late Jaclyn Jose, when the veteran actress could no longer read and appreciate them.
One Instagrammer with the handle @kittcath8 took time to comment on a picture posted by Andi of her mother and herself when she was just a toddler.
“Oh I love this. Unfortunately it’s too late now for your Nanay to see this. Sana noong buhay siya nagpost ka ng ganito lagi para kahit magkalayo kayo, she feel loved and she knows na lagi mo siya naiisip. She won’t able to see this anymore, just your followers,” @kittcath8 wrote.
While the comment did not merit a response from Andi, many of her followers took turns berating the basher for the “insensitive” remark.
Gabby, however, did not let the comment pass, as he called for understanding and kindness for his sister.

(Is there a right time to post? Is there a posting schedule? Me, I [only posted] during the inurnment… Do they know their last conversation? They don’t know)
“At the end of the day, kung anuman ang relationship niya with her mom, kung anuman ang ipinost niya, sabihin niyo man na late or ngayon niya lang ipinost (whatever her relationship with her mom is, whatever she posts, whether you say it’s late or she just posted it now) you don’t know what’s behind the person’s posting it,” said the actor.
Gabby then urged the netizens to be sensitive in matters like this, “Kung ano ang nababasa niyo, ‘wag niyong titingnan sa gano’n. Buti nga nakikita niyo (What you read, don’t look at it that way. Just be glad that you were able to see such postings) But don’t judge it, let’s be kind,”
The actor also reflected on the past deaths their family had to endure prior to Jose’s passing, saying they are trying to recover as “life goes on.”
“Okay naman (it’s been okay) Like ngayon (like now), back to work, back to reality. Unti-unti moving on and totoo naman (gradually moving on and it’s true) life goes on,” he said.
Gabby and Andi share the same father, actor Mark Gil, who died in 2014 of cirrhosis. The actos said that up to this time, he is still grieving the loss of their father, as well as their aunt, premier actress Cherie Gil in 2022 also due to cancer.
