Albie Casiño on absence at Jaclyn Jose’s wake: ‘I might not be welcomed’
Albie Casiño defended his absence at the wake of veteran actress Jaclyn Jose, mother of his ex-girlfriend, Andi Eigenmann, saying he wasn’t sure if he would be welcomed.
At the mediacon for his new film “Kasalo,” Casiño was candid in saying that he was “not affected” by Jose’s death.
Jose, whose real name is Mary Jane Guck, died of heart attack on March 2. Her death was confirmed by her management PPL Entertainment and then, by Eigenmann two days later.
“Unang-una, I just wanna say, rest in peace, Ms. Jane, tsaka condolences sa lahat ng tao na nagmamahal sa kanya. Pero hindi naman ako apektado d’un,” said Casiño.

Casiño was previously involved in a paternity controversy when Eigenmann got pregnant in 2011 when she then pointed to the “Can’t Buy Me Love” star as the father. He firmly denied the allegations which led to backlash from the public.
The father of Eigenmann’s child, Ellie, was eventually revealed to be Jake Ejercito, an ex-boyfriend, according to Andi’s paternal half-sister Max.
In an October 2023 ambush interview, Casiño said Eigenmann’s current love life “doesn’t bother” him and he doesn’t see himself joining forces with her in a project anytime soon.
