It was an unforgettable night for female artists as they were recognized at the first-ever Billboard Philippines Women in Music awards on Friday, March 22, where Sarah Geronimo, Regine Velasquez, and Moira Dela Torre were among the awardees.

Female artists and special guests were glammed up in their elegant ensembles at the Samsung Hall at SM Aura Premier in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, as the music publication honored the Filipinas who made an impact in the industry in their respective categories.

Geronimo — who was named Woman of the Year — was all glammed up in a platinum tube dress made of crumpled taffeta fabric by Rajo Laurel. The look was completed her hair pulled up in a bun, softened by her fringes. She accessorized with a diamond encrusted choker.

The singer-actress was accompanied by her husband Matteo Guidicelli who looked dashing in his brown suit. The latter served as the presenter of Geronimo’s award.

Meanwhile, Velasquez opted for a feminine route in her white gown adorned with black polka dots and black ribbons. The Powerhouse awardee was joined by her husband, singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, and her son Nate at the event.

Dela Torre was a stunner on the blue carpet in her sheer, body-hugging dress which was decked with sequins up to the hem. Her elegant look was complimented by her wavy tresses framing her face.

Jackie Lou Blanco was also present to accept the Icon award on behalf of her mother, Pilita Corrales, who was the epitome of a girl boss in her white suit. She was joined by her daughter Rikki Mae who wore a blue suit at the event.

BINI’s Jhoanna, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, and Sheena remained faithful to the all-denim concept of their comeback single “Salamin, Salamin,” but took it up a notch with added touches of gemstones, slivers of silver threadwork on their ensembles, and silver accessories.

Ena Mori — who bagged the Rulebreaker award — looked like a fairytale character in her purple velvet gown with long sleeves and a dark green tulle skirt. The majestic look was finished with a matching purple hood.

People’s Choice awardee Morissette Amon opted for a dramatic look as she donned a draped purple gown with a rose appliqué design in front. The ensemble was finished off with a gold clutch and purple drop earrings.
