BINI, Pilita Corrales, Regine Velasquez to be honored by Billboard PH
P-pop group BINI, Asia’s Queen of Songs Pilita Corrales, and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez have been chosen as among the Billboard Philippines Women in Music awardees.
As announced on its social media accounts, Billboard PH will give recognition to the mentioned female artists alongside Moira Dela Torre, Ena Mori, and popstar royalty Sarah Geronimo.
Nation’s girl group BINI is set to receive the Rising Star award, while Corrales will be honored with the Icon title, Velasquez with the Music Powerhouse award, Dela Torre the Hitmaker award, Mori the Rule Breaker, and Geronimo for Woman of the Year.
BINI took the industry by storm with their charming personalities and feel-good music, which has captivated audiences. The P-pop girl group is currently gathering hits with their track “Pantropiko” and their newly released first ever extended-play, “Talaarawan.”
Corrales, who has proven herself to be a pillar in the music industry with her distinctive vocal range and signature backbend, is rightfully deserving of the recognition, Billboard PH wrote. Hailed as one of the greatest singers in the Philippines, Corrales’ longevity will echo not just in this generation but for the next ones to come, it added.
