Jhong Hilario’s two-year-old daughter, Sarina, captured the hearts of netizens with her rendition of the classic song “Fly Me to the Moon.”
As of this writing, Sarina’s cover song has gathered 1.4 million views on YouTube, and an American content creator with 1.17 million subscribers posted a positive reaction to the video.
Ovela, a Montreal-based music producer and sound engineer whose real name is Abderrahmane Tebbal, commended Sarina’s ability to say the lyrics clearly and yet could already carry a tune well.
“She is adorable. She is the cutest thing ever. I mean this kid doesn’t even speak yet, she can’t even form words properly yet and she can sing incredible. She’s so lovely. You know I feel like she’s going to be a very smart person,” said Ovela, who maintains several social media platforms.
In the caption where the video was uploaded, Hilario shared that Sarina has been learning the Frank Sinatra song since she was one year old.
Inspiring at a young age
The “It’s Showtime” host said to ABS-CBN in an interview that he is thankful for the good feedback and support that his daughter is receiving from the netizens.
“Tumatayo ‘yung balahibo ko. Sobrang thankful, sobrang nakaka-amaze lang na at her young age marami na siya nai-inspire, marami na siya napapatawa, napapaiyak. Kumbaga ang dami na niyang followers. Sobrang blessed,” he said.

The actor-host shared that when the pandemic happened he was given the opportunity to focus on taking care of his daughter and he made sure she listens to music, especially the old ones.
When asked if he would allow Sarina to enter showbiz in the future, Hilario said that as long as his daughter is enjoying, he’s down to anything.
“Hindi natin alam, bigla na lang siya naging ganyan. I mean, bigla dumami yung fans niya sa tulong ng partner ko, si Maia kasi siya naman ‘yung kumukuha ng videos. Kung ano yung mae-enjoy ni Sarina,” he said.
