Celebrity twins Joj and Jai Agpangan were mistakenly thought of as members of the P-pop female quartet 4th Impact, who drew criticism for putting up a fundraiser for their 200 Shih Tzu dogs, although it was eventually deleted from their GoFundMe page earlier this month.

A recording of the “Pinoy Big Brother” alums selling popcorn in a TikTok live-selling caught the attention of netizens, and many thought of them as members of 4th Impact in the comments. This led to others demanding them to treat their Shih Tzu dogs better, even though there were some clarifying they were not part of the group.

This prompted Jai to firmly deny that she and her twin are part of the girl group during the livestream, as recorded by one @markgeronimo_ on X (formerly Twitter).

“Hindi nga kami ‘to ah, hindi kami ‘yung sa Shih Tzu. Hindi kami ‘yung sa 4th Impact. Joj at Jai po kami (This is not us. We’re not involved in the Shih Tzu controversy. We’re not members of 4th Impact. We’re Joj and Jai),” Jai said.

Joj, on the other hand, quipped: “Oo nga, nasaan ang hustisya (Yes, where’s the justice here?)”

Jai and Joj then appealed to netizens to stop throwing such assumptions against them since they were not involved in the controversy.

“Guys, ano ba yan, maawa naman kayo. Naga-assume kayo ng iba-iba… Hindi kami ‘yung sa 4th Impact,” she said. “Nakakaloka kayo, guys. For the Shih Tzu eh, maalaga kami sa aso. Walang kaming kaalam-alam dun,” said Jai.

(Guys, what are you doing? Spare us from this. You’re making such assumptions. We’re not part of 4th Impact. You’re too much! When it comes to the topic of Shih Tzus, we’re very caring with dogs. We don’t know anything about this.)

Joj then added: “Kung stressed man kayo sa buhay, huwag niyo kaming isama (If you’re stressed with life, don’t involve us).”

Meanwhile, members of 4th Impact have yet to make a statement about their controversial fundraiser, as of this writing. The four-member girl group consists of sisters Almira, Irene, Mylene, and Celina Cercado.

Joj and Jai, on the other hand, gained recognition after placing fourth in “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 4” in April 2012.
