Pops Fernandez could not contain her joy and excitement while holding in her arms her grandchild Phineas, the child of her son Robin Nievera, for the first time.
The veteran singer-actress documented her first meeting with Phineas, also fondly called Finn, through a series of posts on her Instagram page.
It took about three months before Fernandez got to meet Finn in person, as the latter is based in the United States with Robin and his partner Mian Acoba.
“Finally meeting Baby Finn,” Fernandez captioned her post. “A minute full of gigil moments with him!”
Fernandez was seen taking turns with Robin in carrying Finn, hugging the baby, changing his diapers, and admiring him while he sleeps.
In one of the videos, she also can’t get enough of Finn so that she quipped he should stay with her and not with his parents for that night.
Fans and fellow celebrities gushed over Fernandez and Finn in the comments section, including her former husband and Robin’s dad Martin Nievera.
“Looks exactly like Robin!” Martin said of the child.

Robin and Acoba welcomed Finn in December last year. Martin immediately met Finn a day after he was born.
Aside from Robin, Fernandez and Martin—dubbed as the local entertainment industry’s “Concert King and Queen”—have one more son named Ram.
