Jericho Rosales regards son Santino as his ‘compass, rock, tropa’

Jericho Rosales expressed his love and appreciation for his model-athlete son Santino, whom the veteran actor considers as his compass, rock and friend.
Jericho gave a glimpse of his meal date with Santino through his Instagram page on Sunday, March 17, showing them enjoying a vegetable salad, steak and desserts at a restaurant.
The actor also admitted that he was having a “soft day,” hence the appreciation post for his 23-year-old son.
“Saint. My compass. My rock. Voice of truth. Tropa. Kaagaw ko sa steak (Friend; and the one with whom I share my steak),” he said of his son. “Love you, pogs.”

The father-and-son bonding earned admiration from fans and fellow celebrities including Iya Villania, Denise Laurel and Rita Daniela. Actresses Amy Austria and Ina Feleo also took to the comments section to compliment Santino.

Santino is Jericho’s child with his former partner Kai Palomares. In a 2017 interview, Jericho said his dream for Santino was to succeed as an Olympian.
“I have a dream for him and it’s not show business. I want him to be an Olympian,” Jericho said then. “I just see that he loves sports… I don’t want the crazy life for him. I want him to focus [on] school, so showbiz was not an option.”
Santino is currently part of the Davao Aguilas Football Club.
