Megastar Sharon Cuneta confirmed that a second concert with her former husband and love team, Gabby Concepcion was already in the works until the negotiations did not push through.
In an interview with reporters following her performance for the “Sheroes” campaign of a Filipino insurance company on Tuesday, March 12, the multi-awarded singer-actress revealed that their supposed next show was “better” than the first one.
However, Cuneta insisted the reason the negotiations for the second concert fell through was not because of her management.
“The next show was supposed to be called P.S. I Love You. The repertoire was supposed to be much better. It was a beautiful show. Kasado na (all set). Everyone was ready,” opened up the megastar.
“And apparently, negotiations didn’t go through. Okay, I won’t say it. But let’s just say hindi siya natuloy not because of us (the reason it did not happen was not because of us),” she added.
Cuneta remarked that what saddens her for the most part is not being able to do it for the fans.
“I was so excited and ready to do it. Sayang. Nanghihinayang ako. Because I made so many of our fans happy, and I wanted to continue making them happy,” she stated. “So, I guess that’s it. Not my fault.”
Hurt feelings with KC
In the same interview, Cuneta also revealed that she and her first daughter, KC Conception, seldom talk and see each other, but stressed that love will always remain between them.
“I don’t know what her beef with me was…” she said. “Siguro hindi maiiwasan there are hurt feelings now. So, to end that, siguro even if KC and I never have a relationship again, I know that we’ll always love each other.”
Cuneta and Concepcion’s reunion concert, Dear Heart, which happened in October 2023, made diehard fans nostalgic and happy as the former loveteam took them back through the good old times of their relationship. Their daughter, KC, also made a surprise appearance at the concert.
However, in December of that same year, the megastar asserted in a now-deleted Instagram post that she and her former husband were not in communication after the concert, and the possibility of seeing them together again is unlikely, which subtly confirms an on-going misunderstanding.
