Barbie Forteza, David Licauco's movie to be featured in film fest in Japan

“That Kind of Love,” starring Barbie Forteza and David Licauco, is among the Spotlight Entries at Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival, alongside another Filipino film “Chances Are, You and I” which stars Kelvin Miranda and Kira Balinger.

“CONGRATULATIONS to the [creators, cast and crew] of ‘That Kind of Love,’ a film by Catherine O. Camarillo, for being selected as one of the Spotlight Entries of Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival to be held in Nagoya, Japan on May 25 [to] 26, 2024,” production company PM Productions Inc. announced on its Facebook page on Wednesday, March 13.

The announcement also includes the official Japanese poster of the film, whose cast also includes Kaila Estrada, Ivan Carapiet, Jef Gaitan, Divine Aucina, Arlene Muhlach and Al Tantay.

The production company also congratulated the crew of “Chances Are, You and I” in a separate Facebook post, for being chosen as one of the films in the same category.

The movie, helmed by director Camarillo as well, also stars Tantay, Jinho Bae, Tart Carlos, Anne Feo and Gian Magdangal.

Both films will have their premieres this year, sometime after the Jinseo Arigato International Film Festival in May. Further details on both projects including the storyline have yet to be revealed as of this writing.
