Delegates of the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 all got the memo as they came prepared to impress in their respective evening glam ensembles, in all shapes and colors, styles and silhouettes, even aesthetics.
On the MUPH’s Facebook page, the local pageant is beginning to heat up as candidates from various parts of the country level up their game with this year’s official glam shoot with their unique high-fashion looks.
The pieces showcased by the 55 official delegates were as varied as they come: avant-garde mini dresses, voluminous ruffles, and unconventional cuts not usually seen on pageant girls are now also under the spotlight, sharing the platform with the tried-and-tested gowns.
“The category is EVENING GLAM! Wearing classic gowns to avant-garde creations, these are your Miss Universe Philippines 2024 delegates in their official Evening Glam photos. [three ‘one hundred’ emojis],” the pageant said, with the individual photos of all the delegates.
The set of photographs followed the release of the close up portraits and swimsuit photos posted earlier, also on the social media pages of the MUPH pageant.
The 2024 competition is the fifth edition of the standalone pageant that chooses the Philippines’ representative to the Miss Universe pageant.
Last year’s winner, Michelle Marquez Dee, finished in the Top 10 of the 72nd Miss Universe pageant held in El Salvador. She also topped the fan vote, led in the national costume online poll, was one of the three “gold finalists” of the “Voice for Change” initiative, and received the “Spirit of Carnival” award from Carnival Cruises.
After the release of photos, fans are now looking forward to the much-awaited series of video challenges where the delegates will also have their own individual entries.
The winner of the 2024 MUPH pageant will represent the country in the 73rd Miss Universe pageant later this year.
