Ben&Ben overjoyed after ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ jam with Ed Sheeran

Ben&Ben went over the moon after they had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform with Ed Sheeran during the award-winning singer-songwriter’s concert in Parañaque City on March 9.
Ben&Ben lead singers, twin brothers Paolo Benjamin and Miguel Benjamin Guico, shared the stage with Sheeran as they did a rendition of the folk-pop band’s hit song “Maybe The Night” at the SMDC Festival Grounds.

A day later, Miguel Benjamin took to his Instagram account to express how the moment “felt like a dream” while thanking Sheeran for his “generous heart.” He also shared that the band’s other members “loved” listening to his rendition of their hit song.
“Last night, Ed Sheeran sang our song ‘Maybe the Night’ in his set and asked us to jam with him,” he said. “Thank you for having such a generous heart in sharing your stage, @teddysphotos. You’ve been a huge blessing and inspiration to so many musicians and fans, us included! This will forever be deep within our core memories.”

Paolo Benjamin, on the other hand, appeared to be awestruck by their performance, as he shared a photo of himself and his twin bowing down to Sheeran.
“Bowing to u sensei @teddysphotos. thank you for inspiring us all. On behalf of all Liwanag and our bandmates in @benandbenmusic, we labyu,” he wrote on Instagram.

Ben&Ben also revealed on their official Instagram page that the members were able to do “karaoke” with the singer-songwriter behind the scenes, and they couldn’t get over their moments with Sheeran.
“After our set, sinalubong niya kami backstage at kinamayan niya kaming lahat. Nakipagkwentuhan pa muna siya ng konti samin, na parang kaibigan lang namin. To share the stage with such a genuine and brilliant artist is a great honor and more than that, to have conversations with this very same person is beyond our wildest dreams,” he said.

Sheeran visited the Philippines for the third time as part of his “Mathematics” tour, where he performed the songs “Sing,” “Thinking Out Loud,” “Shape of You,” and “Give Me Love,” just to name a few. He previously toured the country in 2015 and 2018.
Meanwhile, Ben&Ben’s other members are Poch Barretto, Jam Villanueva, Agnes Reoma, Patricia Lasaten, Tony Muñoz, Andrew De Pano, and Kiefer Cabugao. They’re best known for their songs “Leaves,” “Sa Susunod Na Habang Buhay,” and “Kathang Isip.”
